IMPORTANT NOTE: The venue has changed.

The "BIG GAME" is here and we're all set and ready to go!!!

Mr. Pizza Italian Factory & Restaurant is considered to be a local hang-out in K-Town. They feature 22 different-style pizzas, as well as, your typical items that are found in all Italian Restaurants. These items include your fettucine, spaghetti, linguine, shrimp scampi, ravioli, risotto, and so on.

Think of Mr. Pizza as a cozier version of a "BJ's". Mr. Pizza is basically an upscale pizzeria with an ensemble of many different options of beer and wine. The beer includes Guinness, Sam Adams, Miller Lite, Hite (famous Korean beer), Coors Lite, Corona, Blue Moon, Heineken, Alaskan Amber, and Peroni. They DO NOT sell hard liquor at this place.

The wine list is vast!! In fact, too vast to list it here.

We will be watching the Superbowl Game on a big screen projector and have our own section for our groups.

See y'all there, guys and gals!!

Join us for a "Fun Day" on a Sunday. We'll be packing up the place at Hollywood Billiards located in Thai Town (right next door to the City of Hollywood). This will be a cross promotion with Adventures In SoCal which is lead be one of our members Max. The Colts/ Charges game will be featured on NBC that evening.

This sports bar/billiard hall is enormous & we have been given our own private section with pool tables included. Hollywood Billiards features yummy restaurant food and a vast array (and I mean VAST!!!) of alcoholic drinks and cocktails. There are "open-roof" rooms for which to dine in, as well as, "closed-roof" rooms. A very unique layout and a classy sports bar atmosphere makes this venue a "must see" for everyone!!

Many amenities are featured in this sports bar/billiard hall. These include: a numerous amount of pool tables (over 30), 20 large-screen HD televisions, dart boards, a full arcade room, full bar (with over 30 beers on tap & large selection of cocktails), a restaurant, and beautiful outside patios.

So, come out & join in the fun with all your friends at one of the most beautiful sports bars/billiard halls in SoCal. We will be there 'til 9:30pm, so if you're running late...... don't worry. We'll be there waiting for you!

Check out the menu & amenities on their website: www.hollywoodbilliards.com

Hope to see y'all there, guys & gals. Oh, yeah!!

NOTE:
There will be a $3 fee per person to help pay for the "private section" that has already been paid for by your organizer. NO NEED TO PRE-PAY. Just pay Max when arriving at Hollywood Billiards. This section will be a "no access" spot for the general public. ONLY MEETUP MEMBERS OF OUR GROUPS WILL BE ALLOWED IN OUR SECTION!!

Hello everyone - finally football season is upon us! For the opening game we will be doing a crossover event with the Greater Los Angeles Nightlife Meetup Group in Hollywood. The game starts early for us on the west coast - 4pm - so I know that it won't necessarily be easy to get there at that time, but please feel free to join us at any time you can. Details follow below courtesy of Max who runs L.A. Nightlife:

*ANOTHER UPDATE*

I will probably arrive around 4:30pm so if you get there before then, please look for Max from the Greater L.A. Nightlife Meetup group - he will be there at 4pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!*

*UPDATE*

The restaurant/lounge is kindly going to offer our meetup groups FREE APPETIZERS!!! The appetizer plate will consist of crispy onion rings with choices of dipping sauce. This will only be offered to our meetup groups as a "thank you" to us.

Please read the entire description as this may contain too much hidden fun for the average human being!!!

NOTE: This is the first game of the regular season and is being presented at a special time during a weekday. Anyone is welcome to join me and a few members at 4pm to watch the game. The meetup event will officially begin at 6:45pm. YOU ARE WELCOME TO JOIN US AT ANYTIME THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT. THIS MEANS THAT YOU DON'T NECESSARILY NEED TO SHOW UP AT OR AROUND 6:45PM. YOU CAN SHOW UP AFTER THE SCHEDULED TIME ACCORDING TO WHAT YOUR SCHEDULE PERMITS.

READ ON!

Yes, it's true! Football is finally here and the excitement that goes with it!!!

Join us on Thursday, Sep. 4th as we take part in the 1st regular season game of the 2008 NFL Season. This game features the current defending Superbowl Champion New York Giants against the Washington Redskins. This game will also kick-off the first of a series of football pools that will make watching a football game 25 times more fun.

After a "little persuasion", the Sunset Bar & Grill has agreed to reserve the whole outside patio for all our members. The outside patio can hold a party of 85 people accompanied by tables and chairs. The following amenities are going to result in some serious fun:

Drinks: This place has a vast variety of beer, wine, champagne, and mixed cocktails of your choice.

Food: The food is superb. The restaurant features salads, gyros, burgers, beef shish kabobs, chicken shish kabobs, lamb plates, pork plates, & plate combinations. The management has assured me that their meat is of high quality. And after having their beef & chicken shish kabob, I have to agree with them. Yummmmmm!

Music: There will be a musician who plays the saxophone in the outside patio. This feature was also provided for us the first time we were there. He's a very good saxophone player.

Dancing: Where there is music, there's dancing...... enough said.

Hookah Bar: There is an option to smoke hookah, if this is an interest to anyone. The taste is sweet & includes the following flavors: raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, cherry, peach, pear, plum, white grape, banana, watermelon, orange, kiwi, lemon, jasmin, vanilla, and many others.

AND OF COURSE:

The Football Pool: I will be there at 4pm with a few of our members watching the game & keeping score for each quarter. Although our meetup is scheduled to begin at 6:45pm, anyone is welcome to join me at 4pm.

If all these amenities are not for you, then, just remember that all your friends will be there having a great time. Come chat and get to know us. Mingle and get to know some great people from our groups that will be attending. This event will be cross-posted.

Once again, you are more than welcome to join us throughout the evening as your schedule permits. So, if your running a little late..... don't worry!! We'll be there until late night waiting for you.

Visit the restaurant's website and check out their menu: www.sunsetbg.com

The biggest game of the season is here. The New England Patriots will be taking on the New York Giants in the 42nd Superbowl. Please join us in Hollywood for the last game of the season. Please RSVP so that we may RSVP with an accurate count to the bar. Entrance to this event is $10. You can valet park for $5 or park on side streets. If you are late, lost or can not find me, please call me at 323-474-4431. I also want to clarify that it is not me charging the $10 fee, it is the bar. I assume this is to cover costs for the raffles and prizes they will be giving away during the day.
